Effects

Effects adjust the overall brightness, tone, and color of the image. They are best used for final visual tuning once the model, materials, and lighting are largely set, and the results preview in the Lite viewport in real time.

Opening the Effects Panel

Open the Effects panel in the Lite window to adjust exposure, tone, and color. Effects do not depend on the modeling software — they work the same way in SketchUp, Rhino, and Revit.

Exposure

ParameterPurpose
ExposureAdjust overall image brightness.
Auto ExposureWhen on, Lite adjusts brightness automatically based on the current view.

If the image is too dark or too bright overall, adjust Exposure first; if brightness varies a lot between views, try turning on Auto Exposure.

Tone and Color

ParameterPurpose
ContrastAdjust the light–dark contrast.
HighlightControl the bright areas.
ShadowControl the dark areas.
SlopeAdjust the overall tone mapping.
TemperatureAdjust warm/cool.
TintAdjust color cast.
SaturationAdjust color vividness.

Saving and Syncing

Effects are saved with the modeling file. If a scene is created or updated in the Scene List, it also records the effects at that time. When you sync scenes to D5 Render, scenes that have recorded effects are synced along with them.
