# What is D5 SR?

D5 SR (D5 Super Resolution) is a proprietary super-resolution sampling algorithm developed by D5, which combines multi-channel rendering feature maps and utilizes a neural network-based super-resolution image generation algorithm to significantly accelerate the rendering speed of still images.

Enable this option in "widgets" of "Preferences". 

D5 SR is enabled when the image resolution is ≥ 1440\*1440.

> Note: 1. This feature does not support outputting **exr format** at the moment; 2. It is not recommended to turn on D5 SR rendering for scenes with post effects such as depth of field and foaming; 3. **Image rendering with D5 SR turned on will result in faster rendering while losing some rendering detail.**
